The global crisis: short-term prognosis and responses

Abstract

An article by the notable Canadian scholar presents views on the essence and causes of the international economic crisis. After the first shock it has become an object of interest for politicians and analysts, but their opinions on the crisis` final differ greatly. Some think that the crisis is just another convulsion of the global market that will soon recover and restore the balance of the global economy; others predict beginning of the mass political and social changes.
