Abstract
The article focuses on possible approaches to forming and developing the information culture of public servants. The authors analyze the Federal law No. 8-FZ of 9th February 2009 that has come into force, regulating access to information about the activities and performance of public and local authorities; potential difficulties of law implementation; necessary measures to increase efficiency of dialogue between public authorities and society.
