Abstract
Public procurement allows to efficiently meet current needs of government agencies of the Russian Federation and its subjects. The author analyses regional experience of public procurement, identifies positive and negative points in its organization and implementation. Measures for the optimization of such activities are suggested by the example of the Moscow region.
