The author explores existing programs and guidelines aimed at curtailing drug production and traffic in Afghanistan and analyzes steps undertaken by Russia, particularly the FDCS, to counter the threat of drug use increase and consolidate the efforts of all interested countries in the world community. Examples and directions of fruitful cooperation are listed.
