The article studies modern experience of the USA in the fight against extremism both in the domestic context and abroad and presents the author’s approach to the understanding of key directions of this activity. The author substantiates the necessity of using the US experience in Russia and the Russian experience in the joint struggle against international terrorism and extremism.
