Abstract
The author reviews theoretical foundations, practical aspects and essential features of the development of the institute of parliamentary investigation in Russia. Suggestions are provided for the drafting of a concept document to optimize parliamentary control by the State Duma, its further development through the enactment of a law on parliamentary control.
