Improving the Training of Border Control Employees on the Basis of Historical Experience

Abstract

The author describes specific aspects of higher and lower ranking officer training and the emergence of the legal foundations of the Russian border guard in the 19^th century. He identifies the main lessons learned from the history of border guard creation and gives recommendations on improving the training of modern-day frontier guards.
