Ensuring the liquidity of the banking sector in the post-crisis period

Abstract

The author of the article presented mechanisms to attract long-term financial resources for the development of the state economy and to overcome the structural limitations of its growth. One of the most promising sources that the author acknowledges is people’s savings, based primarily on household savings. As a way for utilizing this financial resource the author proposes to introduce into the legislation the so-called "long-term irrevocable bank deposit" that would broaden the basis for the medium-and long-term lending. In addition, the article analyzes various ways of deposit repayment guarantee to ensure peace of mind for the bank customer in times of crisis.
