Abstract
The article defines the main directions and measures of the demographic policy of the Russian Federation. Detailed statistical analysis of change indicators of the demographic situation in the country is carried out. The author makes a conclusion that thanks to the implementation of the active state demographic policy in recent years the natural population decline has been replaced by natural growth, increased total fertility rate and life expectancy.
