Improving the quality of accommodation in the center of Saint-Petersburg during the reconstruction of tenement buildings

Abstract

The data sources affecting the social, economic and architectural questions of the housing formation in different historical periods are examined by the authors, the data of their own research in the field of the housing supply of the different quality in the primary market of the central districts of St. Petersburg is used. Generalization and conclusions are made on the basis of the analysis. It is proposed to increase the share of these classes of comfort in the reconstruction of the apartment buildings in the city center to solve the socially important problems for the city.
