State funding of education and research in France

Abstract
The efforts of the state for the maintenance and promotion of science and education in France are considered in the article. The author offers an overview of financing arrangements for different levels of education and research, and traces the changes in investment in this area, highlights the efforts of the government of the French Republic on scientific and technological development of the country.
