Abstract

The article reveals the issue of the relationship of politics and economy between Russia and the EU. There is analysis of how accepted values and ideology influence the relationship between countries. The author links Russia's historic development with the way modernization is happening in the country. He goes on to describe how Russia positions itself in the world arena, presenting views of different social and political communities.
