Influence of the sphere of culture on socio-economic development

Abstract

This impact of the sphere of culture on the socio-economic development is analyzed in the article. Based on the theoretical works of B. Genkin and analysis of the category of the cultural capital, the working hypothesis that the sphere of the culture contributes to the transformation of the standardized labor into the creative work is put forward by the author. The scheme of its influence on the social and economic development of the country through the increase of the creative work promoting development of innovations is presented. The author makes a conclusion about the necessity of institutional changes in culture financing that are aimed at the development of the institution of the budget allocations and involve the citizens in defining the areas of the budget expenditure. The sphere of culture plays a leading role in preserving the national identity of economic agents and resists the substitution of the traditional cultural values in the context of the «Westernization».
