The modern world condition of food supply and some negative tendencies of the development of the problem are characterized in the article. The role of small forms of businesses in the provision of food supply is analyzed using the materials of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Ways for improvement of state policies in the area of support of small entrepreneurship are pointed out.
