Insurance sector – not protected part of the economy, is becoming increasingly attractive to fraudsters in a dynamically developing world. The use of international experience in Russia – an important factor in minimizing threats to the economic sphere. In this article proposes to consider using a scoring system as a mechanism for the management of operational risk, as one of the most vulnerable places of the insurance.

The author analyzes the most widely applied risk management standards in Russia, emphasizing the lack of a clear system for operational risk management. Reviewing the challenges emerging on European markets due to the introduction of the Solvency II directive, he suggests approaches to the solution of possible problems for Russian insurers.
