The article analyzes the impact of uncertainties on the life of young people. The author discloses the concept of "ethos", and proposes to use it to study the social actions of young people under the conditions of uncertainty. Special focus is given to the connection between the uncertainty phenomenon and the level of protest sentiment among the young people.
