The article studies the preconditions for the development and advanced reproduction of the demand and supply in one of the segments of russian market – production and distribution of knowledge – markets of dissertation services. From the side of supply, the actual lumpenization of the scientific society and the absence of conditions for legal professional self-realization of it are considered to be the reasons of the market formation. From the side of supply – existence of a group of people and children from the politics sphere who are wealthy enough to send a necessary amount of money to improve their social status not hurting their material well-being. The common reason is the absence of moral and legal brakes to prevent, at least, the expanded production (not to mention complete eradication) of the malicious phenomenon of the day.
