The article examines the political and military aspects of cooperation between Russia and Armenia. A dissemination of the results of bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia in the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty is formulated, as well as the treaties concluded on the basis of bilateral meetings of Heads of State. Based on such analysis conclusions about the future prospects of the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Armenia are ventilated.

The article analyzes the main aspects of cooperation between Russia and Armenia (military-political, trade-economic, etc.) in the framework of the current Collective Security Treaty. It considers the preconditions of the creation and structure of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and makes a special emphasis towards development of the Russo-Armenian partnership relations in the Caucasus region. Based on its analysis appropriate conclusions about further prospects of development of interstate relations of the two countries are made.
