In the article the author speaks about the start of his work in the Russian Academy of Civil Service under President of Russian Federation and the experience of the creation of the journal «Public Administration». The first steps in the development of the journal are described: creation of the new columns, inclusion in the list of HAC, meetings with scientists, and with the first Deputy Head of presidential administration of the Russian Federation at that time - Dmitry Medvedev, who later became a member of the editorial Board of the journal «Public Administration».
