The motivation affecting the career of senior people is considered in the article. The key factors in the length of the working life are illustrated, the risks of the age increase of the retirement to the work pension are estimated. The medical and social factors affecting the continuation of the professional activities, and protection against the loss of the labor potential of these workers are substantiated.
