The article deals with the corporatist approach that largely determines the formation of the Russian political elite. The author introduces the concept of corporatism implying a narrow group of people. The common interests, values and program objectives are the base for this union. It is shown through the prism of historical analysis that for a long time the concept of corporatism has had a negative semantic-notional meaning being a part of the doctrine of authoritarian regimes. The author adheres to the diametrically opposite views of the Western and Russian interpretations of the political corporatism. The relevant representation institutions in the Russian Federation that are characteristic of the corporate governance model are considered by the author. This issue is the most vulnerable to the country as not all the institutions are fully represented. This is especially true of institutions such as small businesses, non-governmental associations, non-governmental non-profit unions. Thus, at the stage of transformation the Russian corporatism is in contradiction with the real needs of civil society. Particular emphasis is placed upon the retrospective analysis of the corporative past of Russia since the 1990-s. In addition, there are several reasons for the formation of Russian corporate relations: social class, social-ethnic, professional, affined-compatriot. It was revealed that in contrast to the Western model of recruitment into the higher echelons of power, where the determining factor is the social background and personal achievements - the primary importance in the Russian reality is the establishment past. Corporate communication were considered on the basis of the fundamental work on the Russian elitologist O.V. Kryschtanovskaya. The dynamics of changes in corporate bonds from the point of view of the patron-client positions and the regency regime of the beginning of the 1990-s, oligarchism of the late 1990-s before Putin's personnel reforms of the early 2000-s is demonstrated. As for the modern historical stage, the Russian corporatism is characterized as a mega-corporation in a positive notional connotation, the basic values are determined as: political pluralism, free competition, social efficiency, etc. The state and political agents interact on the basis of partnership, mutual responsibility and cooperation. State there with is entitled a central place, since it is committed to meet the interests of its «shareholders» and to improve the management technologies. The appraisals of the article by D.A. Medvedev «Russia: the acquisition of a new dynamics» are presented in the paper, where the author distinguishes the general stages of the reform of public administration mechanisms. The concept of the public-private partnership and its peculiarities at the present stage are discussed within the framework of political corporatism.
