The problems of modernization of professional education in the sector of public administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered in the article. The author reveals the contents of the institutional reforms implemented in accordance with the «Plan of the nation - 100 concrete steps» comprising the mechanisms of further strengthening of the statehood in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The innovations in the educational process of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, creating optimal conditions for the training of civil servants, are described.
