The Article is devoted to the new Strategy of economic security as a policy document, based on which in the next decade will be shaped approaches to system development of all sectors and territories of Russia. The relevance of the topic due to the increasing interest in the problems of economic security in modern conditions of globalization of world economy, the financial interdependence of countries, territories, corporations. In this context, the aim of this study is to identify prerequisites for adoption of the new Strategy, the study of primary external threats and ways of their leveling, measures and parameters, the fulfilment of which will ensure the stability of the national economy. The article reveals the main aspects of the program document «Strategy of economic security of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030». The structure of the Strategy comprising the goal, objectives, timing and results of its implementation. Systematized various positions and the reasons for the emergence of challenges and threats to the economic security of our country as destructive impacts on the economy. Justified the transition from raw to innovative model of development of economy of the state. To protect the national interests of Russia in the field of Economics provides monitoring indicators for financial, industrial and monetary capacity, social environment, development of international trade. Investigated probable risk of damage to the national interests of the country in the economic sphere in connection with the implementation of threats of economic safety.
