Abstract
The article presents a comparative analysis of approaches to the interpretation of the terms 'globalization' and 'sovereignty' in fundamental science and political practice. It substantiates the necessity for strengthening Russian sovereignty, which will allow the state to continue its acive participation in the international agenda.
