Abstract
Dissemination of compromising materials is a part of information wars, especially during election campaigns. A study of this social phenomenon, its classification according to its structure and content will allow to significantly lower its negative impact on public conscience and improve Russian political culture, if not eliminate the phenomenon altogether.
