The concept of the team management style has been applied in our country comparatively recently. However, it has already demonstrated the ability to provide the leading position in the socio-economic development of the regions and industries in which it is used. The team management is demonstrating sustained efficacy conditioning its careful study. The effectiveness issues of the regional management teams' activities are investigated on the methodological level with the application of the systematic, formal-legal and factor analysis. The genesis of the various evaluation concepts is studied. The economic-oriented, managerial and combined concepts of the evaluation in terms of their applicability to the phenomenon of the regional management teams in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are isolated and analyzed. The multilevel nature of the criteria of the assessment system is identified and examined. The system of the principles and the three-tier model of assessment of the efficiency of the regional management teams of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are formulated.
