Summary The article presents the basic conceptual statements of a research project under grant of the Russian Scientific Foundation (RSF): “New approaches and methods of ethnopolitical relations regulation on the territory of the largest urban agglomerations of Russia”. The paper has justified the necessity to adjust national policy and the emergence of the new paradigm of such policy called “Cultural diversity management”. The new paradigm has a number of advantages in comparison with the traditional one.
