Abstract
The article reveals essential aspects of the legal regulation of personal data processing in the context of digitalization process of the modern economy.The widespread use of personal data in various sectors of the economy raises the question of appropriate legal protection for this information, given the risks associated with confidential information about individuals and legally protected secrets.Although the protection of personal data has historically received a lot of attention in legal doctrine,there are still many issues that require theoretical clarification and reflect the unique aspects of the development of the digital society.The article focuses on the legal norms that govern the processing of personal data and establishes a special legal regime for their protection.The article's goal is to provide suggestions for strengthening the legal frameworkgoverning interactions in the area of personal data protection in light of the circumstances arising from the digitalization of economic relations.The author proposes correcting the normative content of current legislation in the section concerning relatives'right to refuse the use of a deceased person's name. The proposed amendments aim to improve the legal frameworkfor processing personal data in the context of building a digital society.The broadening of the subject composition of those claiming to ensure the legal regime of personal data protection is the essential aspect of developing legislation in this area.
