Abstract
From 3600 BC to 2008 inclusive researchers counted about 15,000 wars. Military operations affected all people regardless of age, property status and gender. Although men were mainly fighting on the battlefields, they were always accompanied by memories, images and names of beloved women, instilling confidence in soldiers and giving them strength.
