The article presents the study findings on assessing the Russian Federation’s strategic initiatives and the selection of economic development priorities. The challenges facing the country’s economy are not so much a challenge to the apparatus of state administration, but rather opportunities for the realization of new approaches and management techniques. The authors stress the value of generalizing the state apparatus’s professional experience to support national initiatives. The findings of sociological research are used to conclude the necessity and applicability of the chosen priority paths of social and economic development for the benefit of the government, domestic industry, and society. The study provides public evaluations of the Russian government’s strategic investments in industry, the economy, and digitization.
