Lobbying against corruption. About the round table conference discussions at IIPAM RANEPA

Abstract

In Russia, there is still no legal regulation of lobbyism although such activities on behalf of a diversified mixure of professional, business and social groups are conducted. Attempts have been made over the years to consolidate acceptable legislative frameworks within which such activities are to be carried out in promoting such interests, but for various reasons, none of these attempts has to date arrived at a logical and acceptable conclusion. The “Fair Russia” faction in the State Duma has recently made another intitiative towards legalizing and regulating lobbyism. The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration held a round table discussion on this topic.
